Fermenta Laundry Soaking Powder, 200 g

I tried the Fermenta Laundry Soaking Powder (200 g) with enzyme, and it’s an excellent helper for dealing with stubborn stains. The product is designed for pre-soaking laundry before the regular wash, and it really delivers on its promise.

I tested it on a few challenging protein-based stains (milk and cocoa on a cotton shirt, as well as sweat stains on sportswear), and after soaking for about an hour in lukewarm water, the marks had noticeably lightened or disappeared completely once washed in the machine.

What I especially appreciate is that it works on different fabrics — cotton, linen, and synthetics — so it’s versatile for mixed laundry loads. The soaking process is straightforward: dissolve the powder in water, let the clothes sit for 1–2 hours, and then proceed with your usual wash.

The 200 g pack might seem small, but since you only need 100 g for 4 kg of laundry, it’s sufficient for several stain-removal sessions.

EAN: 4740060000546

Pros:

  • Very effective on protein stains like blood, sweat, milk, and cocoa.

  • Works across multiple fabric types.

  • Simple to use at home, with professional-level results.

Cons:

  • Currently unavailable, which is disappointing if you want to repurchase.

  • The 200 g pack is more of a trial size rather than a long-term supply.

Verdict:
If you’re dealing with tough protein stains on a regular basis, Fermenta Laundry Soaking Powder is a reliable product worth trying. Hopefully, it becomes available again soon, because it’s one of the more effective stain pre-treatment options I’ve used.
