I picked up this little rubber stopper as a cheap, no-fuss fix for a sink/tub that had lost its plug. For the price, it does exactly what most people need: plugs a standard small drain and is easy to use.
What I liked
-
Simple & reliable fit: Designed for 1½"–2" drains — it sealed snugly in my bathroom sink and held water without fuss.
-
Easy to remove: The split-type metal ring makes pulling the stopper out quick (no digging around with fingers).
-
Durable rubber: The rubber is fairly thick and stain-resistant; it feels like it will last longer than the cheapest silicone plugs.
-
Affordable & available: Very good value if you just want a replacement stopper without replacing the whole pop-up assembly.
What could be better
-
Ring attachment can be fragile: A few reviewers (and my experience) show the metal ring can pull loose from the rubber if you tug too hard or the rubber tears over time. Be gentle when removing it.
-
Size variability: Some users find sizing inconsistent — measure your drain before you buy if it’s an oddball size.
-
Appearance: Plain white rubber — fine for function, but not decorative if you care about aesthetics.
Practical tip: if you plan to use it often, consider attaching a short bead chain to the ring (the stopper has a hole for it) so you don’t accidentally lose it down the drain or yank it off by the ring.
Overall impression: a solid, inexpensive replacement stopper that does the job for sinks and small tubs. I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars — great value, just watch the ring while removing it.
